IE Tab Firefox Plugin

It’s always been a compromise between Internet Explorer (IE) and Firefox for me as I’m a Web Developer. Now, if you’re a Web Developer, you will understand what I meant. For those who don’t here’s why: Firefox provides ultimate tools for debugging JavaScript as well as CSS which Internet Explorer lacks very much. And Firefox also provides secure browsing and strictly complies with W3C Standards. But on the other hand, IE comes with ultimate support for Websites. It provides flexibility beyond imagination. And not only that, my Clients vary from IE to Firefox as they choose to use according to their wish. So, I always wanted to cross-check all my websites in both IE and Firefox and ensure it works well in both browsers. That won’t be difficult if you understand the common functions across IE and Firefox.

Now, coming to this Post, I’ve been always wanting a solution to keeping IE and Firefox running side by side or just using Firefox forever and have IE features in it. I can say neither is easy to do. But there is a simple solution by the way of a add-on to Firefox. It’s called IE Tab Firefox Add-on and it’s available from the Mozilla Website.

Now, what this one does to solve my issue? It offers a possibility of embedding Internet Explorer windows inside Firefox in any Tab you wish. This is similar to those IE based Browsers such as Maxthon (one of my favourite) and Avant Browser. It also offers options in right click popup of any link to open that link in IE Tab so that you can see how that one looks in IE exactly. Also, there is a button added to the status bar of the Firefox window which upon clicking turns the page you’re currently visiting in IE and Firefox vice versa. It’s ultimate cool for me. Try it out and let me know your comments.
